Ninth Day of Brahmotsavam

On the last day of Brahmotsavam, the Lord and his divine consorts are worshipped. Pooja is done specifically to the Sudarshana Chakra. Any flaws or mistakes comitted during the Bramotsavam will then be forgiven by praying to the Sudarshana Chakra. This day is extremely important to devotees as they wait near the Swami Pushkarini (The Lord's Pond) as the Sudarshana Chakra will be dipped in it. It is said that those who will take a dip at the same time as the Sudarshana Chakra is dipped will achieve eternal liberation of the soul, which is the ultimate aim of all janmas (births) in this world. The devotees scream and chant the Lords name in a frenzy and leap into the waters begging for salvation and simply feeling euphoric.

Thus ends the Brahmotsavam celebrations for 2010

Shubam,
